Is your TO DO list stretching to Mars? Do you often feel no matter how much you complete, there’s more work-shaped quicksand waiting to dink your good mood? Would it be nice to inject a little efficiency into the day but you’re not sure how to start? What if someone suggested having a mini dream team made up of you and a wonderfully quirky humanoid robot that can think around corners and solve problems at lightening speeds?
Welcome to the reality of Don’t Believe the Type. We’re happy to have you along for the ride!
Don’t Believe the Type was born out of one woman’s desire to encourage bright-eyed business moments in my fellow business owners and creative artists, musicians and people who value smart, creative and intriguing business. It’s about finding efficient, practical and useful ways to hone your business while giving you something more than the standard virtual services can provide.
Where you see shape-shifting workloads, unfolded project laundry and scampering tasks running unfettered through your desk and mind, I see the opportunity to get some efficiency on.
The way I do that is fairly simple. I give you the opportunity to work with someone who has your back when it comes to project management, bilingual transcription, English, French, Italian and German translation services, WordPress management, social media and document creating/formatting services. My aim is to create the space for you to shine in business by making your life hassle-free. Oh, and to share a bit of fun, innovation and a Mech-sized serving of creativity along the way.
I do it by activating the following super powers:
I’m dreadfully proficient and efficient in organisational areas and am always looking to apply the famous German love of efficiency to the benefit of your work practises and projects. I understand one of the biggest challenges facing business owners and creative practitioners is a lack of time. So I do what I can to reduce your workload while creating better opportunities to maximise the time you have available. Think of me as a Timelord, except instead of a Tardis I have a sense of humour and a brain switched to making the most of the time available.
My clients don’t just receive an executive assistant or remote services aid for the smooth running of a project. You gain a dependable, reliable team member who uses her curiosity and drive to further your aims. Using my project management skills and combining it with my quirky yet approachable attitude helps foster a working relationship you can rely on. And count on when you need it the most. I’m like the Kryton to your Red Dwarf or Lister. Or the talking dishwasher to your awesome business dinner party.
Inspiration and investment in projects, people and their craft is second nature to me. If we’re working together, you know you’re one of a hand selected group of clients I have chosen to work with for your creative approach to business and life. When you choose to work with me, you’re choosing someone who sees your goals as their own and who understands the importance of what you’re setting out to achieve. Dancing around the maypole with other inspired, brave and ambitious people tickles my elbow.
The kinds of clients who love working with me
Over the years, I have worked with businesses small and large who rely on that additional pair of hands to bring projects and ideas into fruition.
I’ve worked with creative practitioners and creative sector businesses who value my understanding of what it means to play in the artistic and musical realms.
Time and time again, academics, teachers and of all kinds of learned folk have called on me for assistance to streamline work, transcribe research and translate pedagogy to materials for wider audiences. Non-profits adore my no nonsense approach to work.
Forms, manuals and all things guideline related may not be everyone’s cup of tea. But I love snuggling up with a juicy opportunity to sink my teeth into making sense of process and translating it into something useful, friendly and workable. Think of me as your universal translator across 4 languages and the most common business language in the world- getting the baseline (or is that bass line?) right.
One thing that always remains true is that I attract clients with verve and spark, ones that see the potential in having a trustworthy, reliable ally. And that invest in a working relationship where we can both enjoy a communicative and inspiring working relationship.
But don’t take my word for it. Take a look at some of the testimonials from previous or current clients.
